Hometown: Bexley (Columbus), Ohio
Married? My wonderful wife Brittany and I have been married since December 2015. We have no kids and hope to keep it that way until we kick our student loan friends from Sallie Mae out.
Favorite Bible Verse: I feel it changes with each season of life, but currently it's Acts 15:19: "It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it hard for the Gentiles who are turning to God." It's my hope and prayer to lead Crossbridge to be a community that is irresistible to those beginning their journey to re-connect with God.
Favorite Pastime: Probably baking or cooking. When I'm able to do it for others and ensure that all those calories won't end up being consumed by me, all the better. I also enjoy watching just about anything on ESPN or consuming some new European crime drama on Netflix with my wife.
Favorite Music: I actually probably spend more of my time listening to podcasts than music, but I've got pretty wide-ranging tastes from alternative (Death Cab's my fave) to R&B (I admit it, I have a soft spot for Drake), to soundtrack music like The Album Leaf. Pretty much anything other than death metal is fine by me.
Favorite Books: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Life You Always Wanted and Know Doubt by John Ortberg, and The Thomas Factor by Gary Habermas. The guilty pleasure award in this category goes to The Hunger Games trilogy.
Favorite Movies: The original Bourne trilogy (don't waste my time with the new ones!), Oceans 11, 12, and 13, The Italian Job, Michael Clayton, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Usual Suspects, Pay It Forward.
Favorite place to eat: Both of the Blackburns are big fans of Liberty on North Monroe.
