What to Expect

Going anywhere new can be intimidating, let alone checking out a new church. We’d love to remove some of the anxiety so you can have an awesome experience with us on a Sunday. Below are a few frequently asked questions.

Additionally, before or after service, we invite you to stop by our Connections table. We’d love to have a chance to meet you and give you a free gift for joining us!

Where do you guys meet? We meet in the Challenger Learning Center’s Planetarium located at 200 S. Duval Street, right in the heart of downtown Tallahassee. You can enter through the courtyard entrance. (Someone will be outside the front doors to assist you if you need help finding it.)

Where do I park? You can park in the Kleman Plaza Parking Garage, adjacent to the Challenger at 306 S. Duval Street. You can enter the garage from both Duval and Bronough, and Sunday morning parking is absolutely FREE! An elevator is available to take you up to the plaza level (Level P) where our entrance is. Limited street parking is also available on Duval.

What should I wear? There is no need to dress up. Seriously. Whether it’s a T-shirt and jeans or shorts and some flip flops, whatever you’d feel comfortable wearing to hang out with your friends is fine here.

What time is your worship service? We start at 10:30 on Sunday mornings. Come a few minutes early to grab some free coffee and snacks from our Cafe area. If you have kids, you can come early to check them in, too.

How long is this going to take? Our worship services last 65 minutes each week.

What happens in the worship service? Specific elements change from week to week, but you can always expect a brief time of singing songs of thanks to God, a message from the Bible, and a time for all who identify as followers of Jesus to take communion together. We also have a time for those who call Crossbridge home to give a financial offering to our church, but there is absolutely no pressure or expectation for you to give as our guest. We respect each individual’s spiritual journey and hope you will feel free to participate in any or all parts of our worship service as you feel comfortable doing so.

What do I do with my kids? For children birth through grade 4, our Crossbridge Kids environments are created specifically for kids to learn about God in a way that makes sense to them. We use a professionally-designed and written curriculum specifically for children, and each of our classrooms are led by volunteers who have been screened to ensure the safety of your children. For those of you with a student in 5th grade up to 12th grade, we have a Student Ministry environment that meets upstairs during service. Look for the signs or find someone with a lanyard on Sunday morning and they’d love to help you.
